Operating Instructions For Jvc Cd Radio Player

JVC CD players allow users to listen to CDs and the radio from one standalone unit. Switching between the functions of the player is easy with well marked buttons on the device and through the remote control. In only a few minutes you can setup your JVC CD player and begin enjoying your music and other audio media.

CD Player

JVC CD players are controlled with the buttons on the unit or the remote control. To play a CD, press the CD button on the unit or remote control that corresponds to the disc tray that has the CD loaded. For example, if you loaded a CD into the second disc tray, press the "Disc 2" button. Once the player reads the CD, press the "Play" button to start the CD. You can switch between tracks by using the track forward or track reverse buttons, and you can stop playback by pressing the "Stop" button.

Radio Operation

The radio on JVC CD players is easy to operate and has several features to enhance the quality of your listening experience. To start listening to the radio, press the "Tuner" button on the unit or the remote control. Press the "FM/AM" button to switch between FM and AM radio. You can scroll through the stations by pressing the fast forward and rewind buttons. Auto tuning is possible with JVC CD players by pressing and holding the forward or reverse buttons. The unit will scroll through the stations and stop when it receives a clear broadcast.

If you notice an abundance of static on the radio station, press the "FM Mode" button on the unit. This will switch the device from stereo to monaural mode and will reduce the amount of static that you hear. To return to stereo mode, press the "FM Mode" button again.

The radio feature on JVC CD players allows you to preset stations for easy navigation. To preset a station, tune to the station you want to save and press the "Enter" button. Use the forward and reverse buttons to assign a channel number to the radio station and press the "Enter" button a second time to save the setting.

To scroll through your preset radio stations, press the track forward or track reverse buttons. Depending on the model of JVC CD player you own, you can store up to 40 different preset radio stations in the tuner. Note, however, that the presets will erase from the unit's memory if the player does not receive power for several days.
