Repair The Sony Ccdtr71

Repairing a camcorder extends the value of the product.

The Sony CCD-TR71 camcorder is designed to provide easy recording and playback capabilities for any consumer that is trying to create memories. Due to the mass production of these products the components may be faulty and need repair. Most of the repairs can be done without the need of a technician.

Instructions

1. Clean the video head using an 8mm VHS cleaning cassette if the video playback and recording are noisy. Insert the cassette cleaner and follow the prompts to complete the cleaning. Insert a cassette and play it back to observe if the cleaning was successful. If it is not clean repeat the cleaning method up to five times.

2. Clean the viewfinder to remove dust and loose debris that can distort the recorded image. Extend the viewfinder barrel completely until the marked area is visible. Rotate the viewfinder counterclockwise until it stops and then pull it out. Clean the dust out with a brush blower. Reattach the barrel and verify that the lens is clean.

3. Swap the battery to allow for longer battery power if the battery is dying faster. Remove the battery from the camcorder body and clean the contacts. Place a new battery onto the camcorder body and let it charge for at least three hours. Some batteries may have a long battery life available to ensure longer recording time.
