Clean A Portable Cd Player

Portable CD players tend to get dirty faster than stationary CD players due to the fact that they operate in many different locations instead of just one. Because of this, dirt or dust may get inside the player, which can make it difficult for your unit to read the audio information contained on a compact disc. Luckily, many companies make a specially designed tool kit designed to clean and properly maintain these portable CD players.

Instructions

1. Purchase a CD player laser lens cleaning kit. These can be found at any electronics retailer as well as at many retailers over the Internet. They all operate identically, so any brand will work just as well as the next.

2. Insert the CD that comes with the laser lens cleaning kit into your portable CD player. Though neither side will have data contained on it, the side of the disc with the two tiny brushes must be facing downward.

3. Close the lid on your portable CD player.

4. Press "Play" on your portable CD player. This will cause the disc to spin around inside the tray. The brushes on the disc will clean the inside of the portable CD player, including the laser lens. After 15 to 30 seconds, remove the cleaning CD from your portable CD player. Your portable CD player is now clean.
