These days, ring tones come in all different types of sounds. There are hundreds of websites offering free ring tones, or you can purchase any number of them. The tones can be changed frequently or set to one you particularly like. Find a song you like? You can likely get a ring tone for it. But if you have all these ring tones, how do you change them or assign a custom tone to a specific contact in your Blackberry?
Instructions
1. Open your notification screen list and click on the "Advanced" button.
2. Highlight the profile you want to change.
3. Click "Menu."
4. Click "Show tunes."
5. Find the folder that has the tone you want to switch to.
6. Click on the tone you want and push "Menu."
7. Push "Set as phone tune."
8. Assign a custom tone to a specific contact in your address book, if desired. Highlight or click the contact in your address book, then push the Menu button, "Edit" and the trackball, then click "Add custom tone." Click on "Set the tone," hit "Menu" and save.
