Voicemail Instructions For A Comcast Phone

Comcast phone service includes popular features such as caller ID and voicemail. When you first get your Comcast phone service, configure your voicemail by setting up a password, greeting and other options. Once configured, the system will answer your calls, and you can access your messages from your home or from a remote telephone.

Instructions

Setup

1. Dial "*99" from your home telephone. As an alternative, dial your home phone number.

2. Listen to and follow the system prompts to create your password, set up your greeting and record your name.

3. Hang up at the end of the setup. Dial your home phone number with a cell phone and leave yourself a test message. Alternatively, have a friend call you and leave a message.

Retrieve Messages

4. Dial "*99" from your home phone, or dial your home phone number. From a remote location or a cell phone, dial your home phone number only.

5. Enter your password, if dialing from your home phone. If dialing from a remote location, hit the "#" key when your greeting starts, then enter your password when prompted.

6. Follow the prompts to retrieve your messages. Listen to your messages, then follow the prompts to save, delete or reply to the messages, depending on your preferences.
