Create Duplicate Flash Cards

Flash cards make study easier.

Flash cards are a wonderful resource for students around the country. With flash cards, students can study during any free minute. Keep in mind when writing out flash cards that sometimes friends or family might want or need the cards at the same time. Duplicate flash cards can solve this problem and can make it easier to keep track of needed flash cards until there is no longer any use for the cards.

Instructions

1. Set up a flash card program. There are several programs or software systems that are made specifically for flash cards. Alternatively, cards can be made using PowerPoint, though you'll need to resize the pages to be flash-card size. Computer-based programs make it easy to create originals and duplicates.

2. Insert the information to be memorized into the program. The information should be organized according to the specific requirements of the program. Each program will be different. In PowerPoint, for example, you'll insert the information only after adjusting the size of the paper to a flash-card size, whereas other programs will need the information typed in a specific order, such as front and back of each card, or only fronts and then only backs.

3. Print out your flash cards. Sometimes the information can also be put directly onto an iPod, laptop or similar portable device.

4. Keep a copy of the flash cards on a disk drive. This will allow the creation of duplicates for anyone that wants the flash cards or for when older flash cards get lost.
