As well as boasting large storage capacity, the product is very easy to set up, whether you are using it in your camera on transferring pictures and videos onto your computer.
Instructions
1. Buy the correct hardware to use the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. It is likely that you have purchased this memory stick because you already have a compatible product; but, if you have bought this memory stick without already having a digital camera or video camera then you have to be sure to buy a compatible product. A Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo is designed to work with Sony Handycams as well as Sony's range of Cyber-shot digital cameras.
2. Insert the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo into your camera. There is no installation required to set up the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo on your camera. Simply insert the memory stick into the correct slot. This slot is usually found inside the battery compartment of your camera and it looks like a tiny letterbox shape. Push the memory stick inside the slot until you hear a click. If the slot for the memory card is not in the battery compartment in your product, then refer to the user manual for its location.
3. Use the camera. When you take photographs or record video using your camera the results will automatically save onto the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo ,providing it is inserted inside the memory stick slot in your camera.
4. Remove the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Turn the camera off before removing the memory stick and remove it by pushing the stick further into the slot. It will click and pop out of the slot, and you can then slide it the rest of the way out with ease.
5. Install the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo on your computer. Find the slot for the memory stick. Its shape is identical to the slot in your camera, and if you have a laptop it will probably be present on the side of the machine, to the right. If you have a desktop computer it should be present on the front of the CPU. Push the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo into the slot until it locks in place (with a click, just like in the camera.)
6. Let it automatically install. You will receive a message in a bubble from your task bar telling you that new hardware is being installed. You do not need to do anything, simply wait for it to finish. The message will update when it has finished installing.
7. Find the Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo on your system. Click on "My Computer" or "Computer" in the "Start Menu" and you will see that in addition to your "C:" drive, there is now a new icon. This is your Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo. Double-click on this icon and inside you will find folders with your photographs and/or videos inside.
