Solve the Coin Puzzle in Silent Hill 2
The survival horror game Silent Hill 2 is filled with puzzles that can be extremely difficult to solve. As your main character explores an apartment building, he will have to puzzle out a riddle which will tell him place some coins in a specific order to unlock a door. The riddle presented is incredibly vague and hard to decipher, but if you follow these steps, you can complete the puzzle easily.
Instructions
1. Play through the game until the main character explores the Blue Creek Apartments.
2. Explore the second floor and find the three coins that bear images of an old man, a snake and a prisoner.
3. Go into the room that contains a desk with five slots for the coins and read the riddle on the side. The riddle will be different depending on what difficulty setting you chose at the beginning of the game.
4. Enter the coins in the order of old man coin, empty slot, snake coin, empty slot and then the prisoner coin if you chose the "easy" difficulty setting.
5. Enter the coins in the order of empty slot, old man coin, prisoner coin, empty slot and then snake coin if you chose the "normal" setting.
6. Enter the coins in the order of empty slot, old man coin, empty slot, snake coin and finally the prisoner coin if you chose the "hard" setting.
7. Go through the secret door that opens in the wall once you have solved the coin riddle to access the next area of the Apartments.
