Use Your Windows Mobile Dash Phone For Laptop Internet

The Dash is a smartphone that is capable of many functions. The ability to use your Windows Mobile Dash phone for laptop Internet provides wireless connectivity anywhere. This process is known as tethering or using your device as a modem and will access your cellular network to get on the web from a laptop.


Instructions


Set Up the Phone


1. Make sure that the Dash is not connected to the computer.


2. Hit the "Start" tab.








3. Select "More" to get to "Accessories" and then press "Internet Sharing".


4. Set the "PC connection" field to "USB."


5. Set the "Network Connection" field to your network's data option (your mobile carrier's name).


6. Select the "Connect" option.


7. Connect the Dash to computer via the USB cable that came with the phone.

8. Verify that the add new hardware wizard appears and locates the Dash once it is connected via USB.


9. Wait about a minute before doing anything.


10. Open up the Internet browser.


11. Test that you can connect to the Internet and browse normally.
