Connect A Mini Dvd Canon Camcorder To A Computer

A DV port is necessary for the Mini Canon Camcorders.

The Mini DVD Canon Camcorder is a small, hand-held video recorder that comes in two versions: the ZR900 and ZR930. These small cameras have a flip-out LCD screen with an expandable memory slot. When you want to transfer the video clips from the camera to your computer, you are going to need a special type of cable. Not all computers have a DV port, so you may need an adapter piece, called a "DV Board."

Instructions

1. Turn on the Mini Canon Camcorder. Flip open the LCD panel and look for the rectangular "DV" port on the right side of the camera.

2. Plug in the DV cable to the camera and plug the 4-pin or 6-pin end into the computer.

3. Turn on the computer. Insert the video editing CD-ROM into your computer. Follow the instructions on the screen to install it.

4. Press the "Play" button on the camcorder.

5. Open the video editing software program you just installed. Follow the instructions to download the video onto your computer.
