Print A Poster With An Inkjet Printer

Print a Poster With an Inkjet Printer

Printing a poster with an inkjet printer represents a challenging but doable task. With some ingenuity, you can print a full-sized poster even with a normal letter/A4 inkjet printer. Just follow these steps.

Instructions

1. Look for special driver settings. Many drivers have a multipage option or poster setting.

2. Open up the program you'll be printing from. This could be Microsoft Publisher, Powerpoint or the design program of your choice.

3. Choose the file you want to print and click the "Print" option.

4. Choose your printer. There should be a drop-down menu with a list of printers. Select yours.

5. Click the "Properties" option. This will open your printer properties.

6. Look for a "Page layout" section. It might have a tab of its own or you might find it under the "Page setup" option.

7. Choose the "Poster printing" option. This should enable you to be able to print on several pages that can be taped together.

8. Specify your size. There are usually presets for this, like "3 x 3" or "2 x 2". This affects how many sheets of paper your poster will be printed on.

9. Create your document. Make your poster as if you were printing it on a single page.

10. Print. Be sure your settings have been saved.

11. Tape the pages together. Some programs include a bit of overlap, so try to visualize the whole poster before you tape.
