Make Your Own Speaker Mounts

Mounting speakers on a wall will get them out of the way.

Making your own speaker mounts will save you some money and allow you to place your speakers in a convenient location easily. These mounts can be as detailed or as simple as you want. However, if you make the project more complicated, chances are you'll have to spend a little more money than if you make the project simple.

Instructions

1. Cut two plywood boards to hold the base of the speakers you want to mount. For example, cut the boards to be 1-foot long by 1-foot wide if your speakers are no bigger than this.

2. Attach the boards at a 90 degree angle from each other. Use wood blue and a staple gun to attach the two pieces.

3. Smooth out all the surfaces of the mount using sandpaper and finish the mount using wood stain or paint.

4. Place the mount wherever you want to mount the speaker on the wall and attach the mount to the wall by drilling four 2-inch screws. Finally place the speaker on the mount.
