Factory Reset A Logitech 1000

The Logitech Harmony 1000 is a programmable universal remote control with a touch screen control panel. The remote control can be used to control a wide variety of electronic devices. Each device that is used with the unit must be programmed and calibrated to work properly. If an error occurs when calibrating a device, or if settings have been changed on the unit that are causing problems, it can be reset back to factory settings.


Instructions


1. Turn the remote control over so its back is facing up. Slide the battery cover off of the battery compartment.


2. Lift the battery out of the battery compartment.


3. Press and hold the power button.


4. Insert the battery into the compartment.


5. Release the power button when the "safe mode" screen appears.








6. Remove the battery from the battery compartment. Wait about five seconds.








7. Replace the battery into the compartment. Replace the battery cover.


8. Press the power button to turn the unit on. The unit is reset back to original factory settings.
