The Difference Between A Treo 650 & A Treo 700p







The Palm Treo smartphones allow for making phone calls, sending text messages, checking e-mail, and taking pictures and video. The Treo 650 is an older model, while the 700p was released later with some updated features.


Features


Running on the Palm OS v5.4 with an Intel PXA270MHz processor, the Treo 650 also included software such as AudiblePlayer, Palm eReader, Handmark PocketExpress, Zap!2016, and Handmark Solitaire. The Treo 700p ran on the Palm OS v5.4.9 with an Intel xScale 312MHz processor. It included software such as the Blazer v4.5 web browser, MyTreo, PocketTunes, VersaMail v3.5.1, and Voice Memo. Both phones included features including a calendar, phone book, calculator, and speed dial.


Specifications


The Treo 700p came with 60MB of user-accessible memory, as opposed to only 23MB in the Treo 650. Both, however, had 16-bit color touch-screen displays with 320x320 resolution. The Treo 650 offered up to six hours of talk-time and 300 hours of standby time on its lithium rechargeable battery, while the Treo 700p advertised only 4.5 hours of talk-time and 300 hours of same standby time on its battery.








Providers


The Treo 650 was carried by Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Cingular (which became AT&T) and Earthlink carried the Treo 650. Sprint and Verizon Wireless carried the 700p.
