Specifications For A Grundig S350 Radio

The Grundig S350 is a radio manufactured by German consumer electronics company Grundig AG. California-based Eton Corporation sells this radio in the North American market. Although the radio retains the Grundig brand, it is sometimes sold as the Eton S350.

Frequency Bands

The Grundig S350 is an AM/FM radio, but it also has a shortwave radio spectrum as well. The shortwave spectrum has continuous coverage from 3 to 28 MHz, and this includes 13 international broadcast bands. The AM frequency band has coverage from 530 to 1710 KHz. For FM, it's 88 to 108 MHz.

Design

The Grundig S350 is of a square, utilitarian design and made of plastic. The dials and switches are unusually large for the radio's overall size, and it comes with a silver and black case. Such a manufacturing approach was meant to evoke a feeling that the radio is solidly built and endowed with an '80s aesthetic.

Controls and Jacks

With a single, full-range speaker, the Grundig S350 has a main tuning knob and independent fine-tuning control knob; and controls for volume, variable RF gain, bass and treble. The radio also has left/right line level stereo outputs and a stereo/mono switch.

Antenna and Power

The Grundig S350 has a built-in telescopic antenna for its FM and shortwave frequency bands, and a ferrite bar antenna for AM. There are also jacks for supplementary AM, FM and shortwave antennas. Power source can be supplied by an AC adapter or four D batteries.

Weight and Dimensions

The Grundig S350 measures around 11 inches wide and 7 inches high, with a diagonal measurement of 4 inches. The radio weighs around 3 lbs. 2 oz., and comes with a one-year limited warranty.
