Rename Iphone Apps

The iPhone is a quad-band GSM-based (Global Systems for Mobile Communication) cellular telephone that utilizes a multitouch graphical user interface. This graphical user interface utilizes icons to access applications you have downloaded and installed on your iPhone. Apple does not allow you to change the application name that is associated with each icon. You can, however, download a free application on a jailbroken iPhone through the Cydia store.

Instructions

1. Tap the "Cydia" application on your jailbroken iPhone.

2. Select the "Search" icon located at the bottom of the Cydia screen, and type "Rename" in the search bar.

3. Select the "Rename" application, and tap the blue "Install" button. Select the blue "Confirm" button.

4. Wait while your iPhone downloads and installs the SOSiPhone application. When the installation is complete, you will find an "Rn" icon on your iPhone's screen.

5. Tap the "Rn" icon to open the application.

6. Select the application you want to rename from the list of applications you currently have installed on your iPhone.

7. Type the name for the application that you would like to see on your iPhone, and tap the blue "Rename" button. Your application will now appear on your iPhone's home screen with its new name.
