More Photo Booth effects
Apple's Photo Booth program comes with multiple effects already installed. If you want more options, Apple's website offers 56 more effects available for a free download. The effects are easy to download and install. Once you have downloaded the new Photo Booth effects, you can use them to have more fun with your Photo Booth snapshots and videos. You can use these effects both in the Photo Booth and the iChat applications on your Mac computer.
Instructions
Download the New Effects from Apple
1. Access the download by going to http://www.apple.com/downloads. From here, click "Email and Chat" under "All Downloads" on the left side of the screen. Then scroll down until you find the download labeled "More iChat Effects 2.04."
2. Click "Download." Once the file downloads, the installer will prompt you you click "Continue" to begin the install of 56 effects for iChat and Photo Booth. The More iChat Effects Installer will open. Click "Continue" at the bottom of the Installer's Introductory screen.
3. Verify that More iChat Effects is already checked once the Installation Type screen opens. Select the box next to More iChat Effects if it is not already checked. Click "Continue" at the bottom of the Installation Type screen.
4. Click "Install" at the bottom of the Installation Type screen, and when prompted, enter your computer's password. The password for you computer is not necessarily the same as your Apple password. Use the password that you set up for your computer. Click "OK."
5. Wait while the Installer installs the files to your computer. Depending on the speed of your computer, the installation should take around a minute.
6. Complete the installation by clicking "Close" on the Summary screen of the installer.
7. Restart both Photo Booth and iChat, if the programs are currently running, and click "Effects." You new effects will display along with your original effects.
