Format Your Micro Sd Card

MicroSD cards are mostly used for cell phones.

To quickly delete all information on your microSD card or to prepare it for a new device, you need to format the card on your computer. You do not need to install any third-party software. The format or reformating of your SD card will completely wipe it of any current data stored on it. After the formatting, you are free to use it in a new microSD capable device.

Instructions

1. Insert your microSD card into the SD card adapter.

2. Insert the adapter into the computer's media (SD) port. If your computer or laptop does not have a media port, connect a USB SD card reader to the computer and insert the card in the reader.

3. Open "My Computer" in the "Start" menu.

4. Right-click on the SD card drive, which shows as a portable drive or a removable disk.

5. Select "Format."

6. Click "Start" to reformat the microSD card.
