Troubleshoot A Haier Hlt71

The Haier HLT71 is a portable 7-inch LCD TV that can work with external devices such as DVD players, allowing you to watch TV and movies on the go. Although it doesn't broadcast in HD quality, this device outputs digital signals to meet current standards. Ordinarily, this TV will function well. However, it may run into occasional problems that interfere with sound and image quality. A few troubleshooting guidelines may solve these problems quickly and safely.

Instructions

1. Check your Haier HLT71's power cord and make sure it's connected to a power source if your device isn't turning on. If it's connected to a power source, check the power switch and make sure it's in the "On" position.

2. Press the channel up or down buttons and select the right channel if you can't see any images. If you've connected other devices to your HLT71, press the "Input" button repeatedly to select the channels the devices are connected to. If the picture is unstable or displaying double images, adjust the direction or length of your antenna.

3. Press the "Mute" button to enable volume if you can't hear anything. Press the volume buttons (+, -) to increase or decrease volume.

4. Open the battery compartment on the back of your remote control and replace the battery if the remote control isn't working.

5. Press the "TV/AV" button on the remote, and then press the "Menu" button. Select "Picture Mode" if the images are too dark. Increase the brightness level, and adjust the contrast settings until you can see a clear distinction between the lighter and darker areas. Select the "Color" option and increase saturation if the images are monochrome. Press the "Menu" button again to exit Picture mode if you're satisfied with your changes.
