Remove Nikon Camera Information When Viewing Pictures

Delete your Nikon picture properties using Windows.

Nikon cameras have a built-in feature that saves the information of the photo you take. This data includes details such as the focal length and aperture of a particular photo, as well as general data such as the time the photo was taken and the camera model used. This information helps you organize and track your photos and can be examined when you look at the property details of the picture on your computer. You can delete this information so that it doesn't display when viewing the picture.

Instructions

1. Navigate to your picture folder then right-click on the picture you wish to edit. Select "Properties."

2. Click on the "Details" tab and then select the "Remove Properties and Personal Information" link at bottom of the screen.

3. Choose to "Create a copy with all possible properties removed" if you would like a copy without the Nikon camera information, and then click "OK" to save.

4. Click "Remove the following properties from this file" if you want to delete all the properties from the original picture. Click "Select All" and then click "OK" to save.
