Cut Cable Costs

Viewers are fed up with the rising cost of cable TV. Prices are soaring higher that ever before and there seems to be no end to it! Maybe going back to the old rabbit ears or the antenna in the attic is an option for some people but for the majority we want a little more than the basics. There are a few easy ways to help cut cable costs.

Instructions

1. Call cable companies to inquire about their bundle or value packages for new customers. If you are already a customer see if there is any way for them to lower your monthly bill. If not, check with other cable companies for bargains!

2. Refuse to get hooked into signing up for the premium channels. These channels can run into a lot of money very quickly. Most of the time you only watch a couple of the channels in that package and pay dearly for all the one's you never view. If you have them now, get rid of them!

3. Wait! That movie you wanted to see on the pay channels will come out on DVD in no time at all. Then you can sit back with a bucket of popcorn and a beverage and save a "bundle" literally!

4. Cut cable cost by ordering Net Flix. The monthly rate is fairly reasonable and unlike renting movies from a video store, you will have more time to keep your movie without penalty.

5. Avoid purchasing premium packages and devices like HDTV and DVRs from the cable companies. Some phone companies offer special packages and may include these features for more affordable rates. If not, you can see the TV just fine without them!
