Use A Rhapsody Device

The digital music service Rhapsody offers unlimited downloads of music for a monthly subscription fee. An application version of the program has long been available for iPhone, iPad and V Cast phones, and is being developed for Android and Blackberry. While the program does not work with iPods there are digital music players that work with Rhapsody to Go so subscribers can take their Rhapsody playlists with them. These devices offer an introductory deal with the Rhapsody program, but will eventually require a subscription to keep the playlists and all downloaded songs.

Instructions

Compatible Devices

1. Confirm that your device is compatible with the Rhapsody program. Rhapsody only works with a very small selection of devices.

2. Sign up for a Rhapsody account. A free trail is offered for the first 14 days, after that a paid subscription is required to continue listening to any music downloaded through the program.

3. Install Rhapsody to your computer.

4. Use the Rhapsody program to download the music that you want. Rhapsody only supports computers using the 32-bit versions of Windows Vista, XP and 2000. Also, Rhapsody only offers downloads of playlists, not entire albums nor individual songs.

5. Connect one of the compatible portable devices to your computer via a USB cable.

6. Click and drag the playlist(s) from your Rhapsody account onto the device.

7. Safely disconnect and unplug the device. The playlist(s) and songs will now be available on the device.
