1. Purchase a GPS jamming device. These are small electronic devices that usually plug into your car's lighter. This makes you invisible to any GPS device within 30 to 300 feet, depending on the type of jammer that you purchase. You can find jammers at many spy and gadget stores. As of 2010, these gadgets cost between $75 and $300.
2. Plug the device into your car lighter using the adapter. This will keep the GPS jammer charged at all times. When you unplug it, the lithium-ion battery will allow it to run for up to two hours.
3. Switch the GPS jammer on. When it is turned on and functioning properly, there will be a green light on the device. It will begin transmitting an inaudible signal that will block the frequencies of most GPS devices. This effectively renders you invisible.
