Get Your Logitech Webcam To Work

A Logitech webcam is a USB video device that connects to your computer through a USB port. You can use the webcam to take pictures or record video to your computer desktop. You can also use a webcam to video chat with other people through video-chatting software on the Internet. A webcam requires specific Logitech drivers to work on your computer. These drivers may install automatically when detected. If they don't, you can also download and install the drivers from the Logitech website.

Instructions

Automatically Install Drivers

1. Ensure that your computer is connected to the Internet.

2. Place your Logitech webcam on a secure flat surface. Some webcams are equipped with clips that allow you to attach them to the top of your computer monitor.

3. Plug your Logitech webcam directly into a USB port on your computer. Avoid plugging the camera into a USB hub, as this may cause connectivity issues.

4. Allow your computer to detect, download and install the webcam drivers. This will happen automatically when you plug the webcam into the USB port. You can see the installation progress from your computer's task-bar icon in the bottom-right corner. Once this is complete, your computer will detect your webcam properly.

Manually Install Drivers

5. Connect your Logitech webcam to a USB port on your computer.

6. Launch your Internet browser and go to the Logitech Product Support Page for webcams.

7. Click the picture that corresponds with your webcam model.

8. Click the "Downloads" tab in the top toolbar, then click your computer's operating system from the list.

9. Download the driver software provided on the website, then double-click the file to install the webcam driver. Once this is complete, your computer will detect your webcam properly.
