Make Slide Show Videos

Convert your slide svideo to reach more people.

Converting a slide svideo is often necessary in order to publish your presentation online or to give your presentation when only a DVD player is available. Depending on the program you use, you can also add an obvious soundtrack to your presentation or overlay the audio from your live presentation for a web-based download for people who couldn't attend.

Instructions

1. Convert your PowerPoint file to video by using Windows Movie Maker. First export each slide in PowerPoint as a JPEG image. Then import all of those images into Windows Movie Maker and drag them onto the timeline. You can also add an audio recording or record a voice-over within Windows Movie Maker.

Apply the same method if you are using OpenOffice Impress. Export your slide to JPEG or any other image format and import those images into Windows Movie Maker.

2. Use Wondershare PPT2Video Pro to convert your PowerPoint or Impress file to to one of over 130 different video formats. Whether you are uploading to YouTube, emailing your presentation as an attachment, converting to DVD, or making a mobile version for an iPod or Zune, converting your files takes only a few clicks. Drag and drop your slide show file into the main window, click "next," and under video settings select the format you wish to convert to. Click "next" again to convert your file.

3. Use Slideshare.net if you want to convert your slide svideo using an online service, without having to install any additional software. Upload your PowerPoint or Impress file on to Slideshare.net and wait while the service converts your file to video format. Once the conversion is complete you can share a link to your presentation with friends, colleagues or family. You can also add an audio file to play along with your presentation on Slideshare.net.
