Nokia 5300 Information

The Nokia 5300 is a small multimedia-friendly cellular phone. It was released in 2006 for use with T-Mobile networks in North America and is compatible with other GSM networks worldwide.

Form Factor

The design of the Nokia 5300 is rather square and uninspiring, and at 3.6 x 1.9 x 0.8 inches, it's a bit boxy as cellular phones go. But the 5300 weighs 3.6 oz., making it easy to carry in a pocket or purse.

Colors

The Nokia 5300 is available in black and lilac. A carrier unlocked version is also available in red for an additional fee.

Features

The 5300 offers full multimedia support. The built-in music player offers playback of all AAC, MP3 and WMA files. The phone also features a 1.3 megapixel camera/camcorder. Other notable features include a vivid 2-inch display and rubberized control surfaces.

Connectivity

The Nokia 5300 offers USB synching for fast data transfers when connected to a computer. It also has full Bluetooth 2.0 capability for wireless data transfers or for use with Bluetooth devices such as headphones. Standard headphones connect via 2 1/2 mm headphone jack.

Memory

The phone comes standard with 5MB of internal memory. But using the MicroSD card slot memory can be expanded to 2GB.

Battery Life

Nokia specifies up to 3.2 hours of talk time and 19 days of standby time on a single charge. In testing, CNET labs recorded slightly more than nine hours of battery time when using the phone in MP3 player mode.
