Remove a CD from a car stereo.
Typically, a simple press of the "eject" button on your car's dashboard will release the CD from the player. There are several options to eject a CD when it gets stuck in the CD player. However, there is always the risk of damaging your CD player or the CD when doing so. Because of this, it is recommended that you take your car to a professional to have the situation assessed.
Instructions
1. Remove the fuse for your car's CD player. After several minutes, replace the fuse. This should reset your car's CD player, causing the CD to be automatically ejected. If you have trouble locating the fuse that applies to your CD player, refer to your car manual.
2. Press the CD player's "eject" button for several minutes. During this time, the "eject" button should start flashing. Once the button stops flashing, immediately release the button and press it again. The CD should eject itself from the player.
3. Use tweezers or needle nose pliers to manually pull the CD out of the player. Press the "eject" button while doing so; if you wiggle the CD free with the tweezers, it may eject.
4. Hit the top of your dashboard while pressing the "eject" button. This may jar the CD loose and allow it to eject.
5. Cut the adhesive strip off a cardboard mailing envelope. Fold the adhesive strip in half (with the sticky part facing outward) and stick it in your CD player so the adhesive grabs onto the stuck CD. Pull the CD out of the CD player.
