Smartphones tend to consume battery power faster than normal cell phones. With features like email, Internet browsing, full-color games, instant messaging and more it's no wonder. You want to ensure your battery is full before going on a long car drive or if you're going to be somewhere for a long time with no way to charge the phone. Fortunately, BlackBerry phones have a quick way to tell if your battery is staying charged, and it's just like other smartphones and cell phones.
Instructions
1. Press any key to take the BlackBerry out of standby mode.
2. Check the symbol at the top that looks like a battery. It has little tick marks inside the battery or next to it. The more tick marks there, the more battery life remains on the phone. The amount of tick marks that designate full battery life varies between each BlackBerry version.
3. Charge the phone if the battery life is low. You can tell if the battery is fully charged if the battery symbol is full with the tick marks. If you only have one or two tick marks in or next to the battery, it is best to charge the phone.
