Some people use Sirius XM Radio in their home and in their car, and this radio station uses a satellite signal to transmit its music. Unlike AM or FM radio, reception functions only when there is a direct line to the satellite, meaning it will not work inside tunnels or under roofs. Problems can also occur with other signals, which includes other FM radio stations with similar frequencies.
Instructions
1. Reconnect the wires plugging into your stereo and into the Sirius XM device. Verify that the plugs are firmly attached to the devices. Sometimes, loose cables can cause interference.
2. Tune your radio to an open FM station. Keep turning your dial until your Sirius XM radio comes in clearly.
3. Place the antenna as high as possible. Place it on the highest shelf you have if using Sirius XM radio at home. Place it directly on the roof if using it in a car.
4. Change the channel on your Sirius XM radio device. The trouble may simply be a temporarily offline station.
