SD cards can hold gigabytes of information.
The Motorola RAZR cell phones utilize SD cards for media storage and transfer. SD cards are purely optional in all cell phones, but it gives you the advantage of storing gigabytes worth of media files on your phone and the ease of dragging and dropping files from your computer to the card to insert in your phone. If you have old information on the card, or even corrupt files, you may want to reformat the card and start from scratch.
Instructions
1. Insert the microSD card into the slot under the RAZR battery cover.
2. Press the "Menu" button. This is the large center button.
3. Select "Settings and Tools," "System," "Device Info," and "Storage Devices."
4. Open "TRANS-T-Flash." Press "Options."
5. Select "Format" to format the card.
