Remove An Fld Mid Roof Sun Visor

Sun visors are found at the front of the driver and passenger sides of cars. They help protect passengers from the sun. These visors fold down to block the sun and cover the top part of the windshield. Visors become worn and damaged from constant use and it becomes necessary to replace them. The first step to replacing a sun visor is to remove it. FLD mid roof sun visors are found on trucks. Removing an FLD mid roof sun visor is similar to removing any other type of visor.

Instructions

1. Locate the visor that will need to be removed. There are visors on both the driver and passenger side of the truck. Find all of the bolts holding the visor in place.

2. Remove the bolts on each end of the visor with a socket wrench. Turn the bolts counter-clockwise and unscrew three bolts on each end. Set them aside for future use.

3. Locate the screws on the visor and loosen them with a flat head screwdriver. Remove all of the screws along with the nuts and washers holding them in place. Unscrew the bolts located in the middle of the visor, holding it together.

4. Pull down on the visor to remove it from the brackets it was attached to. Remove the bolts from each of the brackets with a socket wrench. Set them aside and pull off the brackets from the headliner of the car. Inspect the area to make sure everything has been removed and there is no damage done to the headliner.
