The Elura 100 records to MiniDV tape, which can then be transferred to the computer.

The Elura 100 is a digital camcorder from Canon. It is an entry-level camcorder that records standard-definition video to Mini DV tape and is capable of capturing still images to an SD card. It's light, compact, and easy to use, and comes with an easy method for transferring your recorded video to a computer for editing and burning to DVD.

Instructions

1. Install all necessary software onto the computer by placing the disc into the CD-ROM drive and following the onscreen instructions.

2. Turn on your camcorder and make sure it contains the tape with the video you wish to transfer.

3. Set the camcorder to "Play" mode.

4. Connect the camcorder to the computer via the Firewire IEEE1394 cable.

5. Run the video capture software, which will begin capturing the video on the tape and save it as a movie file when it's finished. The time it takes for the video to capture is equivalent to how much footage is on the tape.
