Use Polaroid Psd In Photoshop

A Polaroid PSD is an Adobe Photoshop Document (PSD) template file that is framed like a Polaroid photo. Use the Polaroid PSD file to frame an existing photo or graphic. The Polaroid frame is available as a free template download from PSDList.com and other freeware download sites. Use a Polaroid PSD frame by downloading, and then importing the frame into Photoshop, and using the frame as the background layer for your finished graphic.


Instructions


1. Open a Web browser and navigate to one of the Polaroid PSD template download sites, such as PSDList.com.


2. Click on the "Download" link. Download and save the ZIP file to your hard drive.


3. Double-click on the ZIP file to open the file as a folder.


4. Right-click on the PSD file and click "Copy."








5. Right-click on your desktop and click "Paste" to paste the Polaroid PSD template to the desktop; or chose a location on your computer to store the file for later use in Photoshop.


6. Right-click on the PSD file and click "Open With." Click "Adobe Photoshop" from the context menu. The Polaroid PSD template file opens in Adobe Photoshop.


7. Click the "Add Layer" button in the Layers panel to add a new layer on top of the Polaroid PSD background


8. Open the photo or graphic to be inserted into the PSD frame.


9. Right-click on the new image and then click "Select All," or click the "Pointer" selection tool and drag the cursor over the part of the graphic to import.


10. Click the "Edit" option on the top navigation bar and then click "Copy."








11. Click inside the new layer on the Polaroid PSD. Click the "Edit" option, and then click "Paste." The image is pasted onto the new layer on the Polaroid PSD frame.


12. Edit or resize the graphic as desired.


13. Click the "File" option and then click "Save As." Click the PSD file type, and type a new name for the finished graphic.
