Store Phone Chargers

A phone charger can become a tangled mess.

Your cellular phone charger is a conduit between an electrical system and your device's battery, allowing the battery to retain a charge and operate the device without wires. When you want to store your charger, either daily or for an extended period of time, you may just decide to toss it in a pile or box with your other chargers, but this process can lead to tangled cords, damaged plastics and an inability to quickly find the charger again when you need it.

Instructions

1. Remove the charger from both your phone and from the wall outlet. If the charger has retractable wall plugs, pull or flip them back into the charger.

2. Grab the cord in your left hand, directly underneath the piece that plugs into the wall. Take the cord underneath your left hand with your right hand, and wrap it around your left. Continue until the entire cord is neatly wrapped around your hand.

3. Remove the cord from your left hand, while still keeping the wraps together. Place a rubber band around the center of the cord, then twist the end of the rubber band and bring the other end over the cord as well. Continue to twist the end of the rubber band and wrap the cord until the rubber band is tight around the cord.

4. Place the cord and a silica gel packet in a plastic bag. The gel will prevent any water or humidity in the bag from damaging the charger.

5. Write the name of the phone that the charger goes with on both sides of a sticky note and place it in the bag.

6. Seal the bag closed and place it in your storage location.
