When you purchase a phone from Verizon with the capability to download ringtones, you will probably want to add some new call tones to your media folder. Once you download a Verizon ringtone, you can use the call alert for the lifetime of your phone. You can download Verizon ringtones either from your PC or directly on your phone.
Instructions
1. Log on the VerizonWireless.com. In the Media Store, there are a library of ringtones that you can download. Once on the page, you can search by song title, artist or keyword to find the ringtones you want.
2. Select "Buy Ringtone" next to the download that you wish to purchase for your phone. You will need to sign in with your Verizon cell phone number and password to checkout. The cost of the Verizon ringtone will be added to your cell phone bill.
3. Wait for a picture message to be sent to your phone. If you purchased more than one ringtone to download, you will get a separate message for each one. Open the message on your phone.
4. Select "Options" on the picture message menu while you are viewing the ringtone information from Verizon. Select the "Save as Ringtone" option.
5. Allow the ringtone to download on your Verizon phone. Once it is finished, save the Verizon ringtone as your default call sound. You can browse your downloaded ringtones under the "Call Ringtone" menu found under "Sound Settings."
6. You can also download Verizon ringtones directly from your phone. Under the "Media" menu, you can use "Get It Now" to browse different applications for ringtones. Once you locate a ringtone you want to download, choose "Purchase" and have the ringtone downloaded directly on your phone.
