The Bose Lifestyle home audio system provides a CD drive for playing optical discs. A CD cassette adapter can be inserted into the CD slot to allow a cassette deck's audio output to be connected to the Bose. Removing a stuck CD cassette adapter is similar to removing a CD that has gotten stuck in a front-loading CD player. The procedure requires the use of a few tools most households will have on hand and does not require any electronic skills.
Instructions
1. Place the hand towel against the bottom of the front-loading slot. Tape the hand towel to the Bose with strips of masking tape.
2. Insert the tip of the plastic straw into the nipple at the end of the lubricant spray can's nozzle. Shake the can 10 times with a combined up and down and sideways motion.
3. Insert the free end of the plastic straw into the extreme left edge of the slot on the Bose. Spray a two-second burst of lubricant into the slot. Repeat this on the extreme right edge of the slot.
4. Insert the tweezers into the front loading slot at the middle point. Grip the edge of the CD cassette adapter with the tweezers. Pull the CD cassette adapter towards you until 2 or 3 inches of the edge have exited the slot.
5. Grip the edge of the CD cassette adapter with the fingers of one hand. Pull the CD cassette adapter straight out of the slot in a single motion. Remove the hand towel from beneath the slot.
