Get My Smartparts Digital Frame Connected To The Computer

Digital frames add a twist to traditional picture frames.

SmartParts digital frame manufacturer offers computer connectivity on several of its frame models. SmartParts digital frames use the SyncPix desktop software to transfer pictures from your computer to the digital frame. The digital frame includes a mini USB port that connects to your computer's standard USB port. As a result, you should ensure your computer has a standard USB port to make the connection. In addition to transferring files using your computer, you can also insert removable media devices--a flash drive for example--to move new files to your digital picture frame.

Instructions

1. Go to the SmartParts website to download the most recent SyncPix desktop software. Click the "Download SmartParts Desktop Tool" link. The software download should begin momentarily. The software facilitates communication between your computer and digital picture frame, which makes transferring pictures a simple process.

2. Install the SyncPix software. Double click the download file to start the installation. Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.

3. Plug in your SmartParts digital frame to a wall outlet. Insert the provided AC power adapter cable into the frame. Insert the other end into an open outlet. Make sure the frame is turned off.

4. Push the small end of the provided USB cable into the USB port on your digital frame. Insert the other end into an open USB port on your computer. Turn the digital frame on. Your computer should automatically install the required software drivers that make the connection operable.

5. Double click "My Computer" on your desktop or click "Start" then "My Computer." Your computer should display the drive "SyncPix" under "Removable Media." Double click the icon to view files on your frame and to ensure the frame is connected properly.
