Manfrotto Tripod Instructions For 501pl

Tripods are great for long exposures and night photography.

Tripods are used to hold a camera steady while shooting. Manfrotto is one of the industry's leading manufacturers of tripods and tripod accessories. One of the most convenient ways to use a Manfrotto tripod is with one of their quick release plates. Quick release plates, like the 501PL, allow you to set up and remove your camera from your tripod quickly and easily.

Instructions

1. Attach the 501PL quick release plate to your camera body. The 501PL plate has a screw that comes up through the center of the plate and screws into your camera body. Hand tighten the screw, being careful not to over tighten.

2. Slide the 501PL quick release plate-with camera attached-into the head of your Manfrotto tripod. You may have to release the locking arm mechanism on your tripod head in order to slide the plate into place.

3. Secure the 501PL quick release plate onto your tripod by engaging the locking arm mechanism. Pressing the locking arm toward the tripod head will lock the plate into place.
