Delphi Roady 2 Instructions

The Delphi XM Roady2 Satellite Radio Receiver provides access to over 120 XM Satellite Radio channels in the United States, except for Hawaii and Alaska. It is portable and allows you to listen to XM wirelessly through an available frequency on your radio. You can also track up to 20 stock market price quotes. Instructions for use will help you get the most from your Roady2.

Basic Installation

Your kit should come with a car mount, antenna, power adapter, cassette audio adapter, cell phone mount adapter and other items for installation. First, you attach the power adapter and antenna to the Roady2. The Roady2 outlets for these connections are on the left side when you are holding it face up. You can also attach the cassette audio adapter, if desired. Plug the power adapter into the car's cigarette lighter and place the antenna somewhere unrestricted (it is advised to put it on the roof for the best reception). If you have chosen to connect using the cassette adapter, insert the cassette into the player in the car. If you have chosen the FM option, find an available FM station and then match the Roady2 to that station.

Activation

After installing your Roady2, turn it on by pressing the power button on the top left corner. The Roady2 should play channel one. Change the channel to zero to display its eight-character XM Satellite Radio ID number. You will need this number and a major credit card to activate your service by calling (800) 852-9696 or going online to activate.xmradio.com.

Operation

Familiarize yourself with the Roady2 by using the different options available. You can toggle among four display options with the display button. The fourth option shows the artist's name, and it also scrolls through current stock prices for up to 20 stock symbols you select. Save artist's name and song title by pressing the memory button to keep a record of songs you like. You can access this saved information later by pressing and then holding the memory button. Change receiver configuration options by pressing the menu button. Change to "Direct" or one of three presets by pressing the preset/direct button. "Direct" allows you to use the number keys to select a channel, and the three available presets each allow you to save and access 10 channels for a total of 30 saved channels. Search categories and view channels within each category by using the "Categories" buttons and then the tuning dial. Rotate the tuning wheel to see the available channels and push it in to select one. You can also use the tuning wheel to review and select main menu options in the same way. Use the number keys to select a channel in "Direct" mode and to select or set presets in preset mode. Further information is provided in the user guide that came with your Roady2 and online.
