Digital cameras come in many shapes and sizes and require different cabling and software to download and utilize the camera to the fullest. Then again if you have a media card reader you're able to circumvent the cable issue and just plug the removable storage media card into the PC and download and upload any files that you want on your camera. The Sony CyberShot is a product line of consumer cameras that are perfect for beginner camera enthusiast.
Instructions
1. Visit the Sony website or use the disk that came with your camera to install the drivers that will allow your computer to recognize the camera.
2. Connect the camera to computer and use the Sony Cybershot software utility to download the files you want to put on your computer. These files will be available to you whenever you want to access them.
3. Connect the media card reader to your computer and install any drivers or software that is needed for the computer to recognize the device. Most media readers are plug and play however there are a few exceptions out there.
4. Remove the removal media storage card from your camera and insert it into the media reader. Wait for the computer to read the memory card. Open the directory of the memory card and drag and drop any files that you want to download upon your computer. These files will be available to you whenever you wish.
