Explore Apple Iphone Features

The Apple iPhone gives you up-to-date information at the tip of your fingertips. It was voted as the best invention of the year by Time magazine. Once you have your iPhone, you can start exploring its features.

Instructions

1. Explore the hands-on, multi-touch interface using your thumb and forefinger. A unique feature of the iPhone is the gestural interface whereby you "pinch" an object to reduce its size, "flip" through pages of the New York Times and turn objects over, under and every which way.

2. Make a call simply by touching the name or number of your contact. You can create a favorites list to access your most frequently dialed contacts. While talking, you can easily merge calls thereby creating ad-hoc conference calls.

3. Text message. You can use a keyboard that pops up when needed and it also edits your text as you type.

4. Access your voicemail message using a Visual Voicemail. You can choose which messages to listen to without having to hear prior messages.

5. Scan photos using the iPhone's photo management application. This feature is the most advanced among cell phones today. You can also take photos using the iPhones 2-megapixel camera. Photos are automatically synced in your PC or Mac upon docking.

6. Create a ringtone using the iTunes feature by selecting the song you want and the section of the song you want played. You can even edit your ringtone, so that it is exactly the way you want it.

7. Play music by scrolling through songs, artists and albums and touching the screen when you've found your song of interest. The iPhone also allows you look through album covers using a program called Cover Flow.

8. Watch videos using the 3.5 inch screen. Do this by selecting the TV show or movie you'd like to view. While playing, simply tap the screen to access the controls, and you can play or pause and skip forward or backward as you wish.

9. Browse the web using Safari, an advanced web browser. Simply zoom in and out by tapping the screen.

10. Access e-mail simply by tapping the e-mail icon. E-mails are easily accessed using a rich HTML e-mail client, which allows you to download e-mails in the background while performing other tasks. E-mails containing photos and graphics are displayed alongside the text.

11. Access maps using Google maps or the iPhone's maps application where you are able to view maps or satellite images and obtain directions and traffic information.

12. Create widgets that allow you to track helpful information such as stock and weather reports.

13. Browse video via YouTube by simply tapping on the TV icon. You can find and play videos wherever you go and even send them to friends via e-mail.

14. Use iPhone's wireless feature, which switches back and forth from AT&T's EDGE network to Wifi to provide the fastest connection possible. You can also activate the iPhone's bluetooth network if you have one.

15. Activate the iPhone's accelerometer by rotating the iPhone every which way and watching the contents of the display change accordingly. This feature allows you to switch from portrait to landscape just by changing the position of the iPhone.
