Sync My Treo 750 With A Macbook

Syncing your Treo 750 to a Macbook will require having Mac OS X 10.4 or greater currently installed on the laptop. You will also need Palm Desktop software and the iSync software. Once these have been installed, your Treo 750 will be able to sync with your Mac. You will be able to sync to the Address Book, Contacts or Calendar, if you are using the iCal utility for the operating system.

Instructions

1. Go to the Palm Support website and click the "Download" button for the Palm Desktop 4.2.1 and HotSync Manager Rev D (Mac). Save the file to the desktop.

2. Click the "PalmDesktopMac421Revd.dmg" file to mount the file on the Mac OS. This will put a file on your desktop called "palmOneSoftware.pkg."

3. Double-click the file to run the desktop installer wizard. Follow the prompts on the screen to install the program.

4. Plug one end of the USB connector cable to your Palm 750. Plug the other end of the cable to a USB port on your Mac.

5. Go to the "Applications" folder from the desktop and open the iSync program. Click the option for "Sync Devices" to scan for connected devices. You should see the Palm 750 appear in the "Add Device" window.

6. Double-click the icon for the Palm 750. This will add the device to the iSync window, which will let you choose the information to sync to your Palm.

7. Select an option, such as "Contacts" or "Calendar" and click the option for "Sync Devices."
