The SkyCaddie SG4 is part of the SkyGolf SkyCaddie SG series of golf rangefinder devices. The SG4 automatically calculates up to 40 targets per hole and can store information for 10 full-featured golf courses in one of its course management features. The unit also comes with a large backlit grayscale display and a set of user-friendly navigation buttons and controls, which allow the SkyCaddie SG4 to be a helpful measurement device while playing a round of golf.
Instructions
1. Press the "Power " button to turn on the SkyCaddie SG4. The "Power" button is located on the top right side of the device.
2. Select "Start" by pressing the lower left soft key. The soft keys are the blank buttons on the front of the device that have no labeling. The SkyCaddie SG4 displays "Searching," "Acquiring" and "Ready" while it advances through the process of finding a satellite signal. Once it acquires a signal, it automatically advances to the next screen. The device uses the GPS signal to display the appropriate golf course.
3. Press "Select" to select the default course which is displayed or scroll through the list of courses available on the screen to select a different one. Once the course is selected, the device asks you on the display on what hole you'd like to start.
4. Navigate through the hole options using the left and right soft keys or the center joystick and select "OK" on the display screen. The SkyCaddie SG4 will track and display your distance information from your desired starting point and continue updating automatically as you move through the course.
