Detect Surveillance Cameras

Surveillance cameras are all around, but people rarely see them because they are so well hidden. This invasion of privacy can occur on the street, at a stoplight, in a public building or even in your home. A hidden camera detector can be of aid in locating wired or wireless surveillance cameras. Using a hidden camera detector device just requires patience and following a few steps exactly. It is not illegal to posses or use a hidden camera detector.


Instructions


1. Insert fresh batteries into the battery compartment of your hidden camera detector. Several models are available through the Internet and electronics supply shops.


2. Turn on the hidden camera detector. Hold it in the position indicated in your particular model's instructions and move across the room or location where you suspect there is a hidden surveillance camera.


3. Adjust the sensitivity control of the hidden camera detector when the LEDs on the bar graph start to flash.


4. Move in the direction that increases the number of LEDs on the bar graph display. Continue moving in the direction that increases the number of LEDs on the bar graph until all LEDs on the bar graph are illuminated.


5. Search the area directly in front of your hidden camera detector until you find the camera. It may be embedded in an common device such as a power outlet, stereo speaker or smoke detector.
