The Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system is configured for the touch screen smartphone and for the non-touch screen Pocket PC phone. The difference between the two phones is how you access the commands. On the touch screen smartphone you can use your fingers or a stylus and on the non-touch screen Pocket PC phone you navigate using the keypad and buttons. Windows Mobile 6.1 configures POP3 or IMAP e-mail accounts and Microsoft Exchange Server e-mail.

Automatically Setting Up E-Mail on Windows Mobile 6.1 Touch Screen Phone Messaging > New E-Mail Account."
2. Enter your e-mail address in the "E-mail Address" field.
3. Select "Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet" and tap "Next" to start Auto Setup.
4. Tap "Next" when Auto Setup has finished.
5. Enter your name and tap "Next."
6. Enter your "User Name" and "Password" for the e-mail account.
7. Select "Save password" and tap "Next."
8. Configure the "Automatic Send/Receive" field by selecting when you want to synchronize with your e-mail account and then tap "Finish."
Setting Up E-Mail on Windows Mobile 6.1 Non-Touch Screen Phone Messaging > New E-Mail Account" and enter your e-mail address in the "E-mail Address" field.
10. Select "Try to get e-mail settings automatically from the Internet" and click "Next" to start Auto Setup and then tap "Next" when Auto Setup has finished.
11. Enter your name and if the Auto Setup was unsuccessful, enter your "Incoming Mail Server" and "Account Type" information and click "Next."
12. Enter your "User Name" and "Password" for your e-mail account and select "Save Password" and click "Next."
13. Configure the "Automatic Send/Receive" field by selecting when you want to synchronize with your e-mail account and then tap "Finish."
Setting Up an Exchange Server Account Messaging > New E-Mail Account" and enter your e-mail address in the "E-mail Address" field.
15. Tap or click "Exchange Server" under "Your E-Mail Provider" and then tap or click "Next" and then tap or click "Next"
16. Enter the "server Address" and then tap or click "Next."
17.Enter your "User Name" and network "Password" and that "Domain Name" to which your desktop is connected. Select "Save password to synchronize your device with your computer automatically" and then tap or click "Next."
18. Select "E-Mail" and then tap or click "Finish."
