The Motorola Minitor III is a commonly used pager. Like many electronics that are carried around every day, it can get banged up, causing the outer casing to look battered and scratched. Replacing the whole device when this happens can be costly. Replacing the casing can be a much more economical option.
Instructions
1. Remove the torx screw in the back of the pager casing.
2. Take off the battery door cover and remove the battery.
3. Look inside the battery housing and you will see a tab. This tab connects the front and back casing. Place the flat-head screwdriver into the tab and pry apart until it snaps open. There are four more tabs, two on each side, connecting the front and back casings.
4. Push the flat head screwdriver up the side of the casing and continue to pry apart each tab until the entire casing is loose and the outer casing can be separated from the inside wiring.
5. Place the new casing around the wiring, matching up the tabs and pop the casings shut. Put the torx screw back into place, then replace the battery and back cover. You now have replaced your outer casing.
