Use Att Tilt Phone

ATT Tilt is a Windows Mobile 6 Professional Edition phone (Pocket PC phone) with a QVGA 240 x 320 touch screen. It runs on a 400MHz Qualcomm MSM 7200 CPU with 128 megabytes of RAM and 256 megabytes of flash memory. It has Blue tooth 2.0 supports AVRC Blue tooth stereo headphones, a WiFi 802.11b/g, 3 mega pixel camera with auto focus lens and an integrated GPS. It may seem daunting to use, but once you become familiar with the Tilt phone, it will be a great 'All-in-One' gadget.

Instructions

1. Use it as your cell phone. You might get frustrated initially as there are no physical keys; you must use the touch screen to dial the numbers. You might find it difficult especially if your fingers are chubby- you are more likely to hit the wrong buttons on the sensitive screen. To overcome this you may either use the stylus to key in the numbers or use the voice command feature. Voice command allows you to speak the persons name in to the microphone after pressing the voice command button. The phone then dials the number of that person that you had saved in contacts.

2. Use it as a pocket PC. The Tilt phone automatically connects to the wireless network. You can use it to surf the Internet, check email, or find the nearest movie theatre or restaurant. WiFi could save you a lot of money by avoiding using your GSM plan to go online.

3. Use it as your digital camera. Tilt phone has a 3 mega pixil built-in camera. It uses auto focus mode to take the sharp pictures. The pictures can be emailed via WiFi Internet or GSM without having to transfer them to a PC.

4. Use it as a PDA. To use this feature you would need an external memory. Tilt phone uses MicroSD card. You may get a 1GB microSD free with the phone. But I suggest you buy at least a 6GB card. You can download CAB software files directly from the Internet through WiFi connection, or use conventional PC-PDA synchronization methods to load your PDA.

5. Use it as a GPS device. Tilt phone comes with a built-in GPS receiver which is very sensitive. You may use the GPS feature through Telenav subscription (which is provided by ATT against a monthly charge) or you could use it for free with a map software such as Tom Tom. You will need at least 2 GB of free space on your Micro SD to install a full version of Tom Tom Navigator 6. Once installed the maps run as smoothly as they run on any Tom Tom navigation device. The voice prompts are clear. Tilt phone has a highly effective external speakers so you hear the prompts without any difficulty.

6. Use it as Media Player. You may download your favorite songs both video and audio. Synchronize it with your PC just like your Media Player or an iPod.

7. Use it as a wireless Modem. Tilt phone has a capability of simulating as a wireless modem and allows your PC or Notebook to be connected to network wirelessly. To do that deactivate the activesync first, then go to 'wireless settings' now enable 'wireless modem' and select the interface (USB or Blue tooth)
