Switch Media From Internal Memory To An Sd Card On Your Blackberry

Each BlackBerry device comes with a small amount of internal memory that you can use to store applications, media files and basic phone information. If you start to fill up the internal memory, the device will start to act sluggish and unresponsive as it struggles to find enough memory to operate. You can move media files, including pictures and movies, to your media card, which will free up internal memory while still allowing you to have access to the files.

Instructions

1. Press the "Menu" key, which has the BlackBerry logo on it, to launch the main application screen. Scroll to the "Media" icon and select it.

2. Push the "Menu" button to bring up the pop-up menu. Select "Explore" from the menu.

3. Select "Device" to access the BlackBerry's memory. Then select a folder to look for the file you want to move to the media card. You can get to most media files by choosing the "Home" folder followed by the "User" folder, and then select the folder that corresponds to the type of media file you are looking for, such as "Music" or "Pictures."

4. Scroll down to the file that you want to move and push the "Menu" button. Choose "Copy" if you want to leave a copy of the file in the device memory, and choose "Cut" if you don't.

5. Press the "Back" button, which is located on the other side of the trackpad from the "Menu" button, until you get back to the first screen where you chose "Device." Select "Media Card" to access the memory on your card.

6. Select the folder where you want to move the file. Press the "Menu" key and choose "Paste." Press the "Back" key to go back and move another file, or press it several times to exit the explorer and go back to the device's home screen.
