Copy All Files On An Sd Flash Card To Another Flash Card

SD flash cards are small memory sticks that are most often used in electronic devices such as digital cameras. These sticks record the content as specific files and can be interchanged with other SD flash memory cards in the same device. However, if you want to back up the content from one SD flash card it is possible to copy the information onto a different card.

Instructions

1. Insert the SD flash card into the device it is used in, such as a digital camera.

2. Connect the USB cable to the digital camera. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on the computer.

3. Turn on the digital camera and the computer will detect the camera or removable device.

4. Open "My Computer" (or "Computer") and double click the removable device or camera icon to open a window that displays all of the content currently saved on the SD flash card.

5. Click and drag all of the contents in the card to the computer desktop. Wait until the file transfer has completed, then remove the SD card from the digital camera. Close the removable disk icon.

6. Insert the different SD flash card into the camera and open the removable disk icon to display all of the content saved on the new SD flash disk. Drag and click the content you copied on your desktop to the removable disk's window. Wait for the content to copy. Once it has completed, you can remove the digital camera from the computer.
