Find Sd Cards

An SD Card being unveiled.

Secure Digital (SD) cards are memory storage devices that were developed for use in portable devices, such as cell phones and other handheld consoles. They were developed by the SD Card Association and come with a variety of storage options, with a maximum storage capability of four gigabytes. There are also other variations, such as the miniSD card and the microSD card, which are smaller versions of the SD card.

Instructions

1. Visit the nearest computer accessories shop and ask about SD cards. Since many computers have in-built card readers, many computer shops will sell SD cards individually.

2. Visit a digital camera shop. Many digital cameras store images and video on SD cards.

3. Try video game shops. Game consoles, such as the Nintendo Wii, have card slots to boost the internal memory and to facilitate the storage of games and game data.

4. Visit a cell phone store because cell phones, smart phones and PDAs often require memory cards and may be sold in-store.

5. Perform a Web search on your computer by typing in "SD Card" into a search engine such as Google. The resulting links will likely refer you to a website where a variety of SD cards can be purchased.
